Hi,
The Upper Valley (UV) region of New Hampshire and Vermont is a beautiful place with a strong sense of community. There are lots of cool things to do here, but it can be tough to find them, especially for new residents. There’s a sense that once you “break in” and learn about the core resources and meet a few people, it can get easier. I want to help by consolidating the resources and curating a selection of fun events all in one place.
The goal of this newsletter is to make it easier for you to find things to do and meet new people.
Why am I doing this? I’m a big events person. I LOVE going out and trying something new. Whether it’s a beginner juggling class, a sugar shack tour, or an experimental theater experience, I’ve been going to as many events as possible to discover the best things to do here.
To find events, I read the Listservs, Daybreak and other sources (See list) every morning before I get out of bed. I take what I find and make personalized event recommendations for my friends. Now, I want to do that for you!
This project is meant to be authentic to events I’m excited about. So, my focus will be on creative events (art, music, dance, theater, movies), events for young people (~20-40ish), and unique events that I think look cool. There will be other types of events mixed in, but I want to be clear about what you can expect. People of all ages are welcome to subscribe, even if I’ll sometimes be focusing on events for young people. Almost all events around here are open to people of all ages.
If you want to receive a curated list of exciting events in the Upper Valley region of NH and VT, subscribe for free here:
Thank you for being a part of this community!
Your friend,
Rachael
